I am not making a profit off SNK's character trademarks, nor am I looking to. You should not be using this character to make a profit for any reason either, and that includes throwing it on some random fellow's Capcom vs SNK screenpack and selling it on Ebay as "Capcom vs SNK 3" or some such tomfoolery. PLEASE don't sue me SNK, there is no copyright infringment here, I'm not gonna make you go bankrupt again with this work, lol. This was my first character for MUGEN. I was planning many other characters in this very style as well as an update to her. I had even started on several, including... -Guile (the next planned for release) -Haohmaru -Demitri -Alex -Zangief -K' -Ingrid -Benimaru -Genjuro But I see no more entertainment in continuing. Feel free to use this character for whatever, just don't plan on any more updates. Unless you want to update her yourself, if so feel free. You have my consent for anything. This character contains -3 Intros -1 taunt -9 special moves -4 super moves -4 winposes UPDATED MARCH 6 2011 -Final version of the character. I'm done, I have no more interest in this engine, although this character is far from complete. Do whatever you want with it, it doesn't concern me anymore. -You can now roll during a run/dash. -All hitspark issues fixed. -Crouching jab modified. -Envshakes added for better move presentation. -Other shit. UPDATED DECEMBER 7 2010 Cleared up some minor bugs -Debug flood on just defend is gone -Errors from nulled sexy KO are gone -Infinite is gone -EX move issues have been resolved UPDATED NOVEMBER 22 2010 I'm not feeling very well at the moment, so I don't particularly want to list all the changes right now. It's mostly just fixes that I was too lazy to take care of up until now. UPDATED ON NOVEMBER 5 2010 List of notable changes *Color selection has been totally done away with for now. It's only causing bugs, and Kula doesn't use SFF2 at the moment anyway, so yeah.... *CLSN overhaul, she uses (mostly) KOF accurate CLSN now. *Crouching attacks tweaked. *X version of Diamond Breath tweaked to avoid infinites. *Sprite alignment on several animations fixed. *Superpauses fixed to look more natural. *Taunt feels like it's supposed to now. You can't spam it or walk out of it. *EX Crow Bite's damage is nerfed. UPDATED ON NOVEMBER 3 2010 A lot of things have been changed, so here's a quick list of notable things. *Heaven's Drive super has been totally overhauled, it was pretty wack before. *Weak Diamond Breath has been overhauled. It is now a lighter, faster version of the standard version. *New crouching weak punch, because having two anti air crouch attacks is just unneeded. *Old AI removed for now. *Kula now loops her standing animation a whole second round before yawning. You're welcome, because in the XIII source game she just yawns perpetually. *All major issues with palette selection are (hopefully) fixed. *Dash is no longer completely invincible. *Just Defend bugs fixed. *Old intro has been removed. It looks ugly and I don't like it. *New ice PalFX taken from SF3 Third Strike's Gill. *Head pos redone. *General CLSN box cleanup. ====================================================================== 2.Q&A ====================================================================== Hopefully this section will answer any questions you may have about this character. Q: Why are you discontinuing this? A: As of right now I have no more interest in Mugen. This character is entirely open source though so feel free to do what you want with it. ====================================================================== 3.CHARACTER BIO ====================================================================== Full Name: Kula Diamond Alias: The Anti K', The Glacial Doll, The Icicle Fox Debut: The King Of Fighters 2000 Fighting Style: Anti K' Arts Age: 14 (18 in SNK's Days Of Memories spinoff) Likes: Candy Dislikes: Fire Favorite Food: Ice cream Kula debuted as a rival for K' in KOF 2000, similar to how Iori debuted as Kyo's rival in 95. She was designated by NESTS to track down K' and his team of rogue agents and eliminate them. However, at the end of 2000, the Zero clone betrayed NESTS and attempted to wipe out South Town with a nuke, but Kula and her caretakers were able to stop the traitor. Later, Kula and her caretakers were attacked by her fellow NESTS officers and almost killed, but K' and his team arrived on time to save them. After that, Kula joined up with K' to defeat Igniz and finally put an end to the organization that ruined their lives. Since the NESTS arc, Kula's personality has begun to reveal itself, no longer being repressed by the orders of NESTS. She is naive and oblivious to most of the outside world, but is still learning. ====================================================================== 4.MOVE LIST ====================================================================== I will be using numeric notation + mugen commands. Most of the time ABC are kicks while XYZ are punches. if you can't read numeric notation, look at the number pad on your keyboard. SYSTEM STUFF Color Select - Start before the first round: This allows you to select from 22 color palettes to use during the match. Throw - Y+Z+direction: The character grabs the opponent and throws them in the direction you pressed. Unblockable, of course. Sidestep - X+A: The character will do a quick side step to dodge a single attack. You can use this to nullify projectiles or to dodge pokes or single attacks your opponent might throw out. Dodge Roll - X+A+direction: The character will do a moving dodge that they cannot be grabbed out of. Pretty basic. Power Charge - Z+C: You will generate super meter at a steady rate as long as you hold the buttons, but will be vulnerable for attacks. Just Defend - Press back to block the move the instant it hits: If you succeed in doing this, you will repel the opponent's attack and gain a bit of health back. Focus Attack - Y+B: The character charges up an attack for as long as you hold the buttons. You can absorb a single attack with this, making it a good punishing tool. When the move hits, the opponent will be momentarily stunned with the length varying on how long you charged it. Alpha Counter/Guard Cancel Attack - 214+X while blocking an attack: The character will break the opponent's blockstring with a strong attack. Requires a stock of super meter. Guard Cancel Roll - X+A while blocking an attack: The character will roll out of your opponent's blockstring. COMMAND MOVES One Inch Punch - 6X: Kula leans forward for a short, weaker version of the one inch she is known for in the KOF games. Works kind of like the version in Maximum Impact 2. SPECIAL MOVES Diamond Breath - 236+X/Y/Z: Kula breathes out a gust of cold, icy air. The weak version comes out very fast and hits lightly. The medium version comes out at a normal speed and knocks down. The strong version is slow to come out, but hits hard. EX Version (costs 1 stock): Freezes the opponent solid for a quick hit. Works like in KOF 13, but different cosmetically. Crow Bite - 623+X/Y/Z: Kula lunges into the air and hits her opponent with her ice powered fist. The weak version is a short hop that is relatively safe. The medium version is comparable to Ryu's MP shoryuken, and the strong version goes a long distance and is very unsafe, but powerful. EX Version (costs half a stock): Hits three times and is invincible, think Ken's EX shoryuken. Air Spiral - 6C after strong Crow Bite: Kula follows up her Crow Bite with an aerial spin that knocks the opponent down. Counter Shell - 214+X/Y/Z: Kula swings her arm, creating a trail of snow. This move can hit opponents, but its primary use is to reflect projectiles. However, you must time it right so that the move goes off at the exact moment the projectile is to hit. Otherwise, the projectile will merely be nullified and not destroyed. EX Version (costs half a stock): Fires out the projectile standalone. Ray Spin - 214+A/B/C: Kula will do a short, ballet inspired spin toward the opponent. The weak and medium versions are identical, but the strong version goes higher and hits harder. What you really want though, is the followups.... EX Version (costs half a stock): Kula floats toward her opponent and hits them with three successive kicks. Slide Shooter - 6A during Ray Spin: Kula will lay down on the ground and catch the opponent with a slide that trips them into the air. Great for combos. Arise - 6B during Ray Spin: Kula stands up and kicks an dart of ice at her opponent. Critical Cold - 236+A/B/C: Kula sticks her arms out and creates an icicle that lunges out at her opponent. Good keepaway tactic, but don't abuse it cause Kula can be punished out of it easily. Diamond Shot - 236+A/B/C in the air: Kula kicks out a snowflake projectile with a trajectory dependant on what button you press. The strong version goes directly forward. EX version (costs half a stock): Shoots out all variants at once, ala Shin Akuma. SUPER MOVES Diamond Edge - 236236+X/Y/Z : Kula slams the ground and creates a collumn of ice that raises up diagonally hitting anyone in front of her. Costs 1 stock. Heaven's Drive - 236236+A/B/C: Kula does two consecutive crow bites ending with an aerial kick. Similar to K''s move of the same name. Costs 1 stock. MAX Diamond Edge: 236236+any two punch buttons: Same as the original Diamond Edge, but with traveling ice pillairs that go across the screen. Costs 2 stocks. Freeze Execution: 214214+X/Y/Z: Diana rushes out at Kula's opponent. After she hits them (regardless of if they block or not) Kula will fill the entire screen with icy air that does great damage, but not so good chip damage.
